Hello! neuralforecast v3.0.2 was just released: Enhancements • Distributional predictions in
predict_insample()
@janovergoor (#1309) • Optimizations in tsdataset: reduce allocations for large datasets @tylernisonoff (#1335) Fixes • [FIX]: Add logic to load custom models when using ReduceLROnPlateau @marcopeix (#1340) • [FIX]: Fixes incorrect cuts in conformal prediction with conformal_error @elephaint (#1331) A small release, but the PRs add and fix important stuff 🙂

if we wanted to use the gradient in one post and maintain the brand, it would be something along this lines (and if we are extra picky, code block wouldn’t have rounded corners)
m
i asked in general, just to get a general pulse
So I think there is a more fundamental question that we are now encountering, which is: what is our brand? I think that's still being defined. I have been thinking a lot about that subject, and we'll share some conclusions with you soon. But right now, I think it's clear that on one side we have this old document that was created by catalog, and then we have this new website which was recently created. It's not clear what is our brand identity. In that sense, I think right now both of them make sense for the purpose of posting. I think we should spend some time thinking more fundamentally about our identity, our brand identity.
e
My understanding about brand was that the one created by catalog was the source of truth. And us making the website and other elements differently was a bug and not a feature which we wanted to fix progressively.
m
Yes and no. The brand created by catalog was at one point the source of truth. Now we are rethinking if that is really our brand style.
e
I’m personally all in for updating it and making it more colorful, specially if that makes the people close to the brand happier. At the same time, I think we should focus efforts on making the brand consistent everywhere.
m
I also think consistency is key.
But again, first we have to have a clear definition of our brand. I'm working on it.
e
I’m confused, we already have a clear definition of the brand, which is in the guidelines we just received. If we want to update them (which I sense is the case) then we should go through that process. For example we could move closer to something like wise branding. A lot of white, black, gray as originally in nixtla but with human details and a vibrant primary color.
m
That is exactly what I'm saying and we will go through the process of updating our brand.

BTW: can you grant me edit rights to that file?
e
we don’t have edit rights on that file, you need to duplicate it to your drafts to make edits
m
ok

I'm concerned that using a custom style will slow down code snippet creation. Currently, I use Snappify, which quickly auto-adjusts the background ratio to fit code snippets. With a custom style, I'd need to export from Snappify, import to Figma, then modify the styling, adding friction to posting. As we build content, I believe minimizing barriers while maintaining brand consistency is crucial.
m
Yes, I agree with that too.
