I am Josh, CTO at the Polish AI company: Affexy. Our CSO, Nikodem, is Cc'd.
We are currently executing a pilot project for one of Poland's largest energy distributors - testing options for state of the art energy prediction models. We have used Nixtla's TimeGEN service for this testing, under the impression that it was covered under our Microsoft Azure Sponsorship. We have just found out when our bill was calculated that the sponsorship does not cover TimeGEN.
The consumption from our testing was $8041 USD. I see that you offer $1000USD credit on signup (which we did not receive as we used the service through Azure), with the possibility for extending for testing workloads. Any credits which can be assigned to offset this cost would be much appreciated.
Our pilot project is to be completed at the end of this week and we anticipate significant usage of TimeGEN when the full development project is commissioned.
Thank you for your consideration.
Kind regards,
Joshua Riddell
CTO Affexy

Where do we say that about the 1,000 USD free credits?
t
I have no idea. I thought maybe it was in the Azure platform somewhere?
m
Can you do a quick search to see if you find something?

Ah, well, it's in our FAQ
We need to update that whole section
But separately, I'm not sure how we would offset or allow for any costs for someone on Azure, if that's something we wanted to do.
m
This is an INCREDIBLE opportunity. Even if we give them 1K back in cash they would be paying 7K!
@Cristian Challu, I would recommend to meet with them ASAP

Thanks @Tracy Teal for sharing this. We need to answer them as soon as possible. Here is a draft:

Hello Josh,

Thank you for using TimeGEN-1 on Azure!

The $1,000 credit was initially intended for our private API rather than Azure. However, we are very excited about your application and want to support your continued use of our model in production after the pilot phase. We will request from Microsoft the possibility of applying this discount/credit to your Azure usage. If that's not feasible, we will provide the credit ourselves through a transfer or deposit.

Additionally, we would like to schedule a meeting with your team to share insights on how to fully leverage the capabilities of TimeGEN-1. You can schedule a meeting using the following link: <https://calendly.com/cristianchallu/30-minute>.

also can you cc me in the email please?

@Max @Cristian Challu Josh replied. If there is a 'Partner support' we can contact, I'm happy to do that if you let me know who that would be.
Joshua Riddell
Hi Tracy,
Thank you, this is much appreciated. Microsoft mentioned that you can contact "Partner support" to process the credit. Our subscription ID (if it is required) is 315c11a6-68ba-4590-aa0d-b56e6609a2e2.
I have scheduled a meeting - it's a little far into the future as Nikodem is moving house and I will be in the field during July. Looking forward to meeting!
Kind regards,
Josh
I replied with this. So, when you know how you want to process any credits let me know, and I'll get back to him.
Hi Joshua,
Great, thanks, we're looking into the credit processing, and will keep you posted.
Thanks for scheduling a meeting. We look forward to talking then!
Best,
-Tracy
