Email from a student requesting closing their account because of costs. More just an FYI. Draft response in thread.

Dear Nixtla Support.
I am writing to address a matter regarding my TimeGPT account and the services provided.
I have realized that I inadvertently utilized TimeGPT for my bachelor's thesis project without full awareness of its cost implications. At no point during the registration process or while using the platform did I knowingly agree to any contractual terms or authorize payments.
It has recently come to my attention that TimeGPT is a paid service, and I was not previously aware of this fact. Consequently, I did not intentionally consent to any financial obligations associated with its usage.
In view of this understanding, I am formally requesting the immediate closure of my TimeGPT account and the cessation of any access granted to me. Furthermore, I want to clarify that I will not be utilizing any of the forecasts generated by the platform for my bachelor's thesis or any other purpose.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please confirm the closure of my account at your earliest convenience, and kindly refrain from any further charges or attempts to collect payment.

Dear Maximilian, We're so sorry you were surprised by the costs. Please be assured you have no financial obligations and there will be no charges to you. When TimeGPT is used for research, we're very happy to grant free credits. We'll be adding some to your account, and please let us know if you need more. If however, you would like to close your account, we can do that as well. So, please just let us know what you prefer. We appreciate students using TimeGPT in their research. Thanks! Did we remove his email address from our database, so he can't even log in? I think that's what he's looking for.

@Tracy Teal what we do is change their registration to 'deactivated' so that they can't log in and get that message.
