just tested their key and worked fine for me, maybe an intermittence in the API

I also checked. The plans are ok. This customer just signed up so should be on the Free plan for 30 days. And I don't see any calls made so far. If it is working for Edu with the key, ask them to retry and we can take it from there.

From the sentry logs, I only see 1 call to /forecast that is the one that Edu made probably as it is recent. I don't see any other calls that they have made.
I think I know what is happening. The user has used up their calls from another account. So they created a new account to get free calls but are still using the keys from the old account. Why else would you directly use something in Production when you just created the account?

That is so true. Thank you for the deep dive- I appreciate it! 🕵️‍♂️ Should I ask them to share their API key with us? So we can then point that it was from another account

We could do that. Or you could just ask the user if they have another account prior to this in prod :)
